Our Story
I love to cook! The only thing I love more than cooking is watching people enjoy the foods I create. Growing up, I used to spend weekdays after school and entire weekends in the kitchen with my Nonna, (grandmother) learning how to cook. Her name was Sabatina.
During the countless hours I spent with her, she would tell me stories about how hard life was in Italy and how she and the generations before her would use food to bring everyone together to celebrate the things that were good in their lives. She would go on to say that despite life’s hardships and many challenges, they always had each other.
Cooking with Nonna was never easy, as a young woman in my teens I would just want her to give me the recipes, but she wouldn’t. She used to say that learning to cook with love takes time and cannot be rushed. So she urged me to put in the time, so I did.
My Nonna was and continues to be an inspiration in my life. Like her I want to bring people together with food using the family recipes my Nonna taught me. I am so excited to cook for all of you and it is my sincerest desire that you enjoy my gourmet sandwiches!
