Let's Eat Delaware City

The only thing loved by our founder more than cooking is watching people enjoy her food. Growing up, she used to spend weekdays after school and entire weekends in the kitchen with Nonna, (grandmother) learning how to cook.  Her name was Sabatina.

During the countless hours spent with her, Nonna would tell stories about how hard life was in Italy and how she and the generations before her would use food to bring everyone together to celebrate the things that were good in their lives. She would go on to say that despite life’s hardships and many challenges, they always had each other.

Cooking with Nonna was never easy, as a young woman, I would just want her to hand over her recipes, but that wasn’t her way. She used to say that learning to cook with love takes time and cannot be rushed. 

Nonna was and continues to be an inspiration. Like her, at Sabatina’s we want to bring people together with food, through family recipes. We are so excited to cook for all of you, and it is our sincerest desire that you enjoy our gourmet recipes!

SO….let’s eat Delaware City!~
