Our Story

Our Founder loved to cook! The only thing she loves more than cooking is watching people enjoy the foods she created. Growing up, she used to spend weekdays after school and entire weekends in the kitchen with Nonna, (grandmother) learning how to cook.  Nonna’s name was Sabatina.

During the countless hours spent with her, she would tell stories, about how hard life was in Italy and how she and the generations before her would use food to bring everyone together to celebrate the things that were good in their lives. She would go on to say that despite life’s hardships and many challenges, they always had each other.

Cooking with Nonna was never easy, as a teen, our founder would just want the recipes, but that wasn’t Nonna’s way. She used to say that learning to cook with love takes time and cannot be rushed.

Nonna was and continues to be an inspiration. Like her, at Sabatina’s, we want to bring people together with food using the family recipes Nonna taught. We are so excited to cook for all of you, and it is our sincerest desire that you enjoy our gourmet sandwiches!
